Hinkle, Fingles & Prior is proud to partner with Eden Autism Services to present the Autism Advocacy Across the Lifespan Workshop Series. Six workshops will address the legal and advocacy issues facing parents, guardians and siblings of those affected by autism spectrum disorders from the early years following diagnosis, through the school years, and into adult life. Here is what people are saying about our presentations:

My wife and I actually had fun learning about a difficult topic – Wills and estate planning. I got all my questions answered in a way I understood.

I have been to other workshops on this topic before, but I learned more with this presentation. I feel like I can be a better advocate for my child.

I am the Trustee for brother and it felt like a big responsibility. This workshop was a huge help – now I have the information I need to do what my parents have been doing for him.

I love my grandson and wanted to help – I did not realize that leaving him money would actually HURT him. Now I know exactly what I can do to make a difference.

It helped that the speaker has a brother with autism; he knows what it is really like.

What makes our presentations so helpful?

  • We have a deep professional commitment to disability law; many of our attorneys are themselves the sibling or parent of a person with a disability, and understand first-hand the issues families face.
  • Our attorneys are leaders in the field, and are often asked by financial planners, other attorneys and judges to consult on complex matters. Many of our attorneys have argued precedent-setting cases that have shaped the development of public policy in the field of disability rights.
  • Our entire practice focuses on serving people with disabilities, the elderly and their families. We provide legal support across the entire lifespan, from securing early intervention services, to special education, adult services, guardianship and special needs trusts.
